Boot to Gecko Demo
Mozilla released a video demo of their Boot to Gecko project yesterday. I’m usually against mobile computing (iPad/tablets, browsing on a mobile phone, etc) simply because I believe computing should be done on a desktop with a nice full keyboard and optional mouse. This time, however, Mozilla has managed to spark my interest. I’m excited to see what a web standards-based phone will be capable of. I’m also happy that it won’t be yet another platform for developers to support – any web app should work automatically.
